KYUSHO INTERNATIONAL
2 DAY WORKSHOP

Defence Unlimited is proud to host Kyusho International’s Founding Instructor, Evan Pantazi, for a 2 day workshop that will focus on Kyusho for martial arts, health and Chi Gong (energy development)!

Kyusho’s direct translation from the Japanese means "Vital Point".

Specifically, it refers to the human body’s intricate nervous system (pressure points) and how to manipulate these vital points for increased efficiency and possibilities in many area of life.

Kyusho can be used in the areas of martial art, self defence / protection, health & wellness and energy development.

Kyusho can teach you to cause maximum damage to your antagonist with minimal effort on your behalf, thereby allowing you escape a harmful situation relatively unscathed.

Kyusho can enhance your martial arts skill by giving you greater understanding of your arts hidden secrets by understanding the body’s weaker anatomical structures.

Kyusho can give you the knowledge to aid in the healing and relief of some ailments via the pressure points.

Essentially, Kyusho can help you with whatever you choose to use it for.

Agenda

Day one:

Kyusho in Martial Arts, Self Protection and Personal Security

(Saturday, 24 October 2009)

You will learn to access the human nervous system to cause physical
dysfunction and affect the opponent’s level of consciousness. Learn
quickly as the program brings you to a new level of skill and
understanding to fit you personally and your style. Learn efficiency as
strength, size and speed are not the goal. We teach you the weaker
anatomical structures of the human body and how to access them
correctly, even under stress.

Kyusho is the study of the weaker anatomical areas of the body such as,
nerves, vascular tissue and other internal systems that control the
functions of the individual. This is of great importance as the edge in a
confrontational situation is not always to the younger, stronger and faster
individual… an important aspect of your training as each one of us will
eventually face the aging process. This study will keep your potential
growing, even as our physical prowess dissipates over time. As opposed
to training the muscle and bone structures, which are designed by nature
to protect the internal structures that are much more vulnerable, we learn
how to access the entries into this internal anatomy.

The main key is to learn how to manipulate these targets correctly; this
was the aspect of the arts that was regarded as secret knowledge only
passed down to a select few. Now many people know or have found
weak points or what is labeled as a “Pressure Point”, but few understand
their true potential. By also learning how it affects the internal body, we
can also multiply the affects with corresponding targets or even how to
affect them more efficiently and with greater result.

Day one will contain a special session for Kyusho International members
only.

KI members will also be able to certify at the end of the day

Day two:

Chi Gong, and using Kyusho for Health maintenance and remedy

(Sunday, 25 October 2009)

The main difference between Kyusho and other point related methods is in the immediacy of the application and release of the tension. When
performed locally on a problem the relief begins almost immediately. It
does not require prolonged massage or needles left in for long periods of
time. The reason is in the inception of the program derived from Martial
Art application of nerve manipulation, which mandates an instant shock to
the system via the nerve in the opposite paradigm, that of instantly
inflicting pain and dysfunction on the body. Once introduced pain and
dysfunction was administered, other physical manifestations would
instantly appear. So to was the urgency and need to correct the inflicted
dysfunctions and pain, hence the early beginnings of this special and
unique program. By administering multiple thousands of physical
applications, observations and refining remedy to the inflictions on an
international cross-section of people, cultures and genders this system
generated into what is presented here. Created, based and refined from
experience not theory.

As you work each on these various recipes, the practitioner begins to
develop an integral empathy and skill with all the points and how they
affect the body… deepening your understanding each time.

Day two will contain a special session for Kyusho International members
only.
